Born from years of experience in rebuilding mining vehicles, JMS realised that we needed to manufacture a purpose-built product. Therefore, we ensured the operator and passenger’s safety and comfort during the design phase. Hence, ergonomics and safety were crucial aspects in the design philosophy of the Inyathi range of underground vehicles.
Responsible underground mobility starts with the Roll Over- and Falling Object Protective Cab design that was destruction tested and certified by the University of Pretoria. This ROPS/FOBS cab is genuinely safe and sturdy enough for all underground applications.
The Inyathi DC2020, both single and double cab configurations, boasts a range of loading bin options varying from a standard flatbed, boiler maker, oil and diesel bowsers and explosives carriers. JMS is proud to have more than 85% local content on the complete Inyathi range of Underground Utility Vehicles.
Jarus Mining Supplies introduced a CAS 9 solution with our OEM-approved interphase, enabling the vehicle to react to the signal from the PDS. Furthermore, as we adopted a holistic approach to Collision Avoidance, our Inyathi range can seamlessly intergrade with any PDS and Interphase system.
The Inyathi DC2023 Double and Single Cab Utility are custom-built for underground mining conditions. This range of underground 4x4s can be ordered in either Standard (1 900mm) or Low-Profile heights. With our unique cab design, we manage to fit in headings as low as 1 500mm with an effective overall height of only 1 450mm.
All components, modular in design, simply bolt onto the standard Land Cruiser chassis to create a safe, robust, and cost-effective vehicle. With the modular design, JMS improves component re-usability, workload handling, and compatible spare part holding for all models.
We utilise original 79 series engines, chassis, and drive trains for all our Inyathi DC2023 LDVs. With the reliable Toyota Land Cruiser, 4.2l diesel engine and drive train, the Inyathi DC 2023, 4x4 Low Profile Underground LDV are a safe, reliable, and easily maintainable alternative to the conventional underground LDV.
The Inyathi DC2023 was born from years of experience in the underground mining vehicle rebuild business. Jarus Mining Supplies (Pty)Ltd did not modify an off-the-shelf product to fit in Low Profile mining heights. We do not cut, modify, or do weld-on safety devices.
Our spacious cabs are fully ROPS/FOPS certified by the University of Pretoria. This ROPS/FOBS cab is a safe and well-made alternative to the current underground efforts.
The Inyathi DC2023 features a universal attitude to Collision Avoidance, with a standard CAS 9 interphase which enables the vehicle to respond to the signal received from the PDS. The Inyathi range can also effortlessly merge with any PDS and another Interphase system.
As with the Inyathi DC2020, this model also features a wide range of loading bin options. Both Single- and Double cabs can be equipped to carry tanks, boilermaker equipment, explosives, and general equipment.
